Halo 5: Guardians Trailer Shows Forge and Free MP Maps
Making good on its vow to provide loads of post-launch support to Halo 5: Guardians, 343 Industries gave some details of its next free major update at The Game Awards 2015.
Besides the improved Forge mode, Cartographer’s Gift will also include new maps and new armor and weapon REQs. Chief among the new additions to the game is the return of the popular Forge mode. The Battle of Noctus map will join the rotation in Warzone, while the Overgrowth map will become a staple in Arena. To coincide with the massive eSports tourney, there’ll be a special Halo Championship Series Premium REQ Pack with themed weapon skins, armour and emblem available to purchase until 12th December.
The finals are set to take place in March of next year and will feature the best that the community has to offer.
It’s unclear whether one content update will be arriving each month or if the pace will slow down a little in 2016, with a bigger focus on REQ drops.
December will see the second Halo 5 expansion since it’s launch.
