Halo 5 Live Action Trailer Suggests Chief Is Turning Against Us
The new Halo 5 release trailer leaked this past Saturday, just a day before Microsoft planned to air it on prime time television to build hype ahead of the game’s release.
Halo 5: Guardians is set to release exclusively for Xbox One on October 27, 2015.
“We must end this, not be ended by it”, the broadcaster intones, revealing Master Chief’s death may not be the be-all and end-all of “Halo 5’s” storyline. So far we’ve seen how new mode Warzone works (which takes a few cues from League Of Legends) and learned that 343 knows where the series is going in the next decade, but what about one of it’s biggest changes to date: four-player co-op. Guardians arrives on store shelves on October 27th. You, Spartan Locke, are the unofficial story.
There is only less than a month before “Halo 5: Guardians” releases.
Not much else was revealed in the new video aside from teasing the upcoming conflict between Spartan Locke and Master Chief, although more details are expected soon.
It also shows the main goal of Spartan Locke, the other playable character in the game, which is to hunt down the Master Chief and stop him from showing what’s actually happening to inhabitants of Earth and its space colonies. “The only thing worse than losing a hero is watching him turn against us”.
“In all my years of command, I never saw a more determined soldier than the Master Chief”. One of the big creative goals that we had for Halo 5 was to bring that into focus and support it through the story. There’s probably a way to do it for Halo, too, but forcing several million Fear The Walking Dead viewers to wonder “what’s a Master Chief?” probably isn’t the best way to do it.
For Halo 5: Guardians, developer 343 Industries has unveiled a host of new features and material.
