Halo 5’s Campaign Size Is Double The Size Of Halo 4
Guardians is going to be bigger in every way – including the length of its story-drive campaign mode.
Easily being one of the most popular upcoming Xbox One exclusive video games, Halo 5: Guardians has lots of anticipation attached to it and the beta testing has provided some positive feedback aswell. This was a clear sign that the game’s terrain will be much larger than before. It was taught, but meaningful expansion that tried to humanise Master Chief in a way he hadn’t been before.
At gamescom 2015, Games Radar learned that Halo 5: Guardians will feature a campaign mode that’s basically twice as long as the one found in Halo 4. “Although different levels were shown compared to the E3 campaign reveal, overall performance does show a clear improvement – a state of affairs backed up by this collection of b-roll clips Microsoft released this week, with good clean performance marred only by a sub-optimal cut-scene at 00:29”. If Halo 5 isn’t packing in enough character development, conflict or tension to keep the pace of the story engaging for the average gamer, it doesn’t matter how long they make the campaign most fans will just get bored with it.
With a huge title in eSports, it is expected that Microsoft will also be able to push the sales of its Xbox consoles, which are now trailing behind Sony PlayStation 4 by more than half. Some feel as if Halo 4 had already jumped the shark and at that point they were just coasting on the former glory of the brand.
