Halo 6 Will Most Likely Be Released For The PC
Speaking on the Giant Bomb livesteam, Xbox head Phil Spencer acknowledged that Steam’s dearth of Microsoft games isn’t causing it to lose sales.
In an interview onGiant Bomb’s E3 Livestream, Spencer, the head of the Xbox brand, spoke about Microsoft’s efforts in the PC market, a space now dominated by Valve‘s ever-present platform. No specifics have been provided, though, but Spencer has predicted that Steam would continue to grow bigger in the coming years, and this is probably one important reason why Microsoft still wants to make its games available through this platform.
Honestly the answer with Halo 5 is, I can go take last year’s game, rework it to go on PC, or I can have 343 look forward in what they’re going to go do. I think it will be bigger a year from now than it is today.
What do you think of Microsoft’s decision? The game was released on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One on November 10, 2015, followed by a PC release on January 28, 2016.
Considering that Microsoft owns the Windows PC brand, it’s not surprising to know that they have their own personal game-selling client like Steam to market their own games. They’re doing incredibly well.
Additionally, it seems that Microsoft has no plans to restrict some game franchises to the Xbox One console.
“Dead Rising 4” once again features main character Frank West, battle-ready to mutilate hordes after hordes of zombies, as the game has been known to offer. “Gears of War Ultimate Edition was OK-we definitely learned there”. Prior to any confirmation from Microsoft, the launch date for “Dead Rising 4” was posted on the game’s Microsoft Store page, as well as on the Xbox Store, PC Gamer reported.Spencer did concede, however, that Microsoft’s track record thus far in Windows 10 has been mixed. “I want to build a store; there’s no doubt about that”.
Microsoft is trying hard to establish a foothold with PC gamers.
