Hangouts adds guest access allowing users without Google accounts to join chats
Only last month Skype made its video calls more accessible by not requiring an actual Skype account to be able to be invited into a video call.
This actually works with both audio and video calls, Hangouts users can invite the other party to participate in the call by just sending them a link, they simply click on that link to join the video or voice call without having to create a Google account. Thanks to Google that has come up with a mind-blowing solution to video calling phenomenon and making it easy for users to have other options as well apart from Skype.
Google announced today that it’s adding “guest access” to Hangouts, allowing users without Google accounts to join a Hangouts video call.
The mesmerizing Google Hangout new update is truly one of a kind and its release is truly a defining moment in history.
Google has activated this feature in Google Hangouts this week. I’ve had situations where a call had one or two people who didn’t have a Google account for one reason or another, thus making everyone else move over to another platform like Skype. Google says this will make it easier for businesses to host conferences on Google Hangouts with outside parties, such as clients or consultants. Moreover, you can also accept or deny any guest that comes into the conversation using that link.
