Harlan County native wins battle on NBC’s ‘The Voice’
The first pairing of the night went to Team Adam’s powerhouses, Jordan Smith and Regina Love.
Last week on The Voice USA Season 9, we saw the final night of the Voice Blinds and the coaches worked to put their finishing touches on their teams.
But then it came down to one moment: decision time; and it was all up to their coach on the show … As HollywoodLife.com has previously reported, the two of them have really been supportive of one another throughout their hard times.
While Aguilera’s return to the panel makes us extremely happy, there might be one person who isn’t so thrilled by the re-addition and that’s Blake Shelton.
Next, Pharrell and Missy Elliott prepared Celeste Betton and Mark Hood for battle, giving them “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”. Monday’s Season 9 episode will feature the beginning of the Battle Rounds.

Now to the battles! They performed on “Like I Can” by Sam Smith. On this smart song choice, Travis Tritt’s “I’m Gonna Be Somebody”, it was a question of who would just happen to do better on that day.
Blake Shelton recently spoke out about his thoughts on Gwen and has great things to say about her. Rumors have been flying that Blake Shelton and Gwen might have something going on, but it turns out Moby actually has a thing for Gwen and would love to end up dating her. Radar Online shared that Moby is doing everything he can to get Gwen Stefani to want to start dating him and rumor is he even took it as far as opening a restaurant near her place.
“It’s just shocking to me the ability you both have and you are just so effortless. Blake and Gwen are being very flirty both on and off set”, the source told the publication.
“The victor of this battle is Jordan”, declared Adam Levine. Blake explains the pairing, saying they both have a lot of “raw power” in their vocals.
Nothing comes between the bond of two Virginians. Zach has a great voice, but he was showing emotions while singing and acted like he wanted it more and I liked that. “It was like listening to two trumpets going back and forth, you are so effortless”, said Pharrell Williams. Adam said fantastic job to both of them. Blake gives the win to Zach. He said he knows what an incredible talent Tyler is.
Blake pairs up young country singers Tyler and Zach. “That turned into an even closer friendship between them”, said the source. It seems like Tim is a little shy and needs to come out of his shell and Ellie needs to be more clear with her pronunciation.
‘But you really strengthen each other, it’ll be a shame when you’re not singing together, ‘ he added. Tim’s audition wasn’t shown so this is the first time that the audience gets to see him perform.
‘I haven’t heard something to move me…these days, ‘ she sniffed incoherently.
Unfortunately for Tim, Ellie’s voice continues to overpower him in the live battle and she ends up beating him out for the spot on Gwen’s team.
