Harrison Ford Delighted ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Fans With A Covert

“Star Wars” fans are edgy with anticipation as “The Force Awakens” opening approaches Thursday night – and are equally nervous about having their experience ruined.

The JJ Abrams-directed film picks up where George Lucas left off with Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi in 1983. It was recently confirmed, however, that Jurassic World’s Colin Trevorrow will be helming the third Saga chapter.

Another special screening a day before the worldwide release will take place December 17 at the Chinese Theatre, where the first Star Wars also had its premiere in 1977. Many seemed to approve of the vision director J.J. Abrams delivered for the first new “Star Wars” film in a decade.

With the unfortunate streak of movie theater shootings (in addition to every other kind of mass shooting) hitting the USA this year, such restrictions are by no means surprising. There is also no escaping The Force in grocery stores, cosmetic shops, restaurants, ice cream stands – and just about anywhere else. While we can’t speak for the other “stars” of Star Wars (ha ha!), it appears that Harrison Ford probably wouldn’t mind mingling with such riff-raff, at least according to BuzzFeed.

The Force Awakens has notched up $50 million in domestic pre-sales, according to U.S. media, breaking the record set by The Hunger Games in 2012. The reality of getting such a coveted role has not yet sunk in for the actress, whose past credits include a few television series appearances.

“I loved it. I thought J.J. did an fantastic job”, actor Zach Braff said after the premiere. They met with the country’s popular group EXO, the artist behind the theme song “Lightsaber” for the Korean version of the “Star Wars” film. In fact, part of me wonders if there were more adults anxious to get their hands on some toys that night instead of the youngsters.

The US premiere of the film is tonight, Monday December 14, in Los Angeles, where fans have been camping out for days. She said her reaction after was unexpected.
