Harrison Ford gives advice to young ‘Star Wars’ cast members
Unfortunately, that meant that there was no shocking new footage of the film for the crowd in Hall H in San Diego.
In one of the most anticipated events at this year’s Comic-Con, the trio took part in a Star Wars-themed panel also featuring Episode VII director J.J.
Fisher said the cast and crew of the new Star Wars movies referred to her, Ford and Hamill, as “the legacy people”.
Returning to Star Wars, he admitted, felt like coming full circle, since the sci-fi blockbuster was near the beginning of his career.
Ford, Fisher and Hamill all embraced on stage to the delight of fans before Abrams announced that panel attendees would be treated to a surprise outdoor concert of Star Wars music, performed by the San Diego Symphony. “I burn for Star Wars“.
The fans reacted to their favorite tunes by raising thousands of colorful toy light sabers into the air.
Harrison Ford attends the Star Wars: the Force Awakens panel at Comic-Con worldwide. He broke his leg in an unrelated, on-set accident that delayed production on “The Force Awakens” past year. “I just walked here”, rhetorically ending that conversation. I wasn’t sure it would, but the company was the right company.
After assuring fans he was feeling well, Ford told the crowd “it felt great” to playing Han Solo again, according to the Times. “But we wanted to bring something that was as unique and unexpected as we could”. The panel, which saw a massive turnout (but are we really surprised?) from fans, received a special screening of never-before-seen, behind-the-scenes footage from the upcoming film. Stars from the original trilogy come back, older, but probably wiser, as they saga continues. They were joined by the cast memebers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, and Oscar Isaac from the good side; Adam Driver, Domhall Gleeson, and Gwendline Christie from the Dark side.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is due for release 18 December 2015.
Abrams, who promised a new “Force Awakens” trailer this fall, said one of the most important tasks for him was to not let fandom get in the way of making the Disney and Lucasfilm sequel.
