Harrison Ford surprises Star Wars fans, and makes huge Force For Change
“You can’t experiment.” In all fairness, criticism is what happens when you make a movie that doesn’t adhere to any coherent plot structure and works from a hilariously bad script, but we see what he means.
“And it’s not much fun”.
He expanded on his remarks to CBS News.
“The issue was ultimately, they looked at the stories, and they said, ‘We want to make something for the fans, ‘ ” Lucas said, presumably referring to Disney, which purchased Lucasfilm – including the “Star Wars” franchise – in 2012.
And, obviously, we’re all counting down the days, hours, and seconds until December 17 (18 in the US), when Star Wars: The Force Awakens is finally released, and we can stop speculating wildly and without restraint.
“People don’t actually realise it’s actually a soap opera and it’s all about family problems – it’s not about spaceships”.
A fifth (and final?) Star Wars TV spot has been released and while it’s obviously short, it’s awesome, featuring a heap of new footage.
This marks the first time Lucas is not intimately involved, which Lucas compared to a breakup.
