‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ is “Intense” and “Ritualistic”
Muggles, witches and wizards are all welcome at Paper Plus Taupo on Sunday when the latest Harry Potter book is released for sale.
Last week, Geekwire learned about and reported the details of a secret product that was getting a midnight release on Amazon.
Of course, this isn’t a new novel from J.K. Rowling, but the script from the new play “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”, which will debut in London this Saturday and is based on a story by the famous author and scriptwriters Jack Thorne and John Tiffany.
Cursed Child, billed as the eighth part in the Harry Potter series, revisits many familiar characters, including Harry, Ron, and Hermione, while also introducing numerous new ones, such as Albus Severus Potter, Rose Weasley-Grainger, and Scorpius Malfoy.
There is some risk involved with this midnight delivery and deal, though. This event is free and open to the public, but only those customers with a secured pre-order voucher for “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” will have access to their copy at midnight.
Phoenix Books Rutland is located at 2 Center Street, Rutland.
Los Angeles booksellers can not release the book until 12:01 a.m. on July 31, but that is not stopping them or fans from celebrating in advance all over the Southland. “We have received a tremendous response”, says the Amazon India spokesperson.
“We have special employees from the Ministry of Magic coming to break the seal on the boxes”, she said.
So, you have some decisions to make! Still, the publisher expects the event – held on July 31, Harry Potter’s (and Rowling’s) birthday – to be celebrated by fans and be the “largest publishing event of the summer”.
The choice is yours!
