This is not the first time Rowling has said that she’s done writing adult Harry Potter stories, as she also claimed that the franchise’s seventh installment, “Deathly Hallows”, will be Harry’s final foray.
J.K. recently pleaded with fans not to spoil the plot of the play for other Potter aficionados.
In Cursed Child, Harry and his generation have all grown up.
Meanwhile, “Harry Potter” spin-off “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” starring Eddie Redmayne will hit USA theaters on November 18. But if something new involving the Boy Who Lived just happens to debut in the next decade or so, will anyone be surprised? Rowling didn’t even write the script for “Cursed Child”, but she was involved in the story and she has accepted it into the canon as the eighth Harry Potter story.
