Has Amanda Seyfried Joined The Cast Of Twin Peaks?
Time for the town of Twin Peaks to pour one more cup of damn fine coffee as a new cast member has joined the upcoming revival miniseries: Amanda Seyfried.
The 29-year-old-actress – that’s right, she was 5-years-old when Laura Palmer was killed – has signed on to play a “pivotal” role in the currently-filming Season 3 of the classic series.
The role marks Seyfried’s first on the small screen since her HBO series Big Love ended in 2011. TV Line, who have the scoop, suggest she might even be the offspring of doomed lovers Cooper and Annie (Heather Graham). Since then she’s appeared in a string of major movies, including Les Misérables, Lovelace, A Million Ways to Die in the West and Ted 2.
Twin Peaks, a cult television show that ran from 1990 to 1991 with two seasons and 30 episodes, became a critical success, not only in the United States, but all over the world.
When last we heard, David Lynch and Twin Peaks co-creator Mark Frost completed work on the scripts, with Lynch confirmed to direct all episodes of the revival series, however many that turns out to be.
Instead, we’re having to make do with clues from interview answers and cryptic social media posts.
Amanda may be a “Twin Peaks” newcomer, but she’ll hopefully have quite the welcoming committee aside from Kyle’s eccentric Federal Bureau of Investigation agent.
