Hayden Panettiere on indefinite leave from Nashville

Actress Hayden Panettiere is reportedly attending a treatment facility to fight postpartum depression, a condition she is battling after giving birth to her daughter in December 2014.

Panettiere, 26, has been open about her struggle as a mother.

During her September guesting on “Live With Kelly and Michael”, the actress also shared bout her condition and how she can relate to her on-screen character. “Some women do. But you don’t realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on”. “It’s something that needs to be talked about”, she said. “It’s really painful and it’s really scary and women need a lot of support”. “It’s something a lot of women experience”.

The 26-year-old Nashville star gave birth last December to a attractive baby girl named Kaya and call it art imitates life or life imitates art, Panettiere’s character on the show is also going through the same thing. Reps for “Nashville” had no comment on the matter, while Panettiere’s personal rep didn’t return our request for comment.

She added, “Women are incredible”.

“I did suffer from it with one of my pregnancies, but I was suffering from depression anyways”, she said. “And you get to a point where you don’t realise what you’ve got with the baby and you’re just so dark and distraught and alone and it’s the loneliest feeling in the world”, she added. “He wanted to feel what it was like to have a baby as close to him as it was to me”.
