HBO obliterates competition with 43 total wins

HBO took home a total of 14 Emmy’s, including the statues for best drama, comedy, movie and miniseries.

Viola Davis became the first African-American to win a drama lead actress Emmy for her role as a defence lawyer in How To Get Away With Murder. (OK, anyone who hadn’t seen Olive Kitteridge was probably surprised that it won six awards.)
