HD forecast: Sunshine today, storm chances ahead
As we head into the evening hours, overnight lows will drop down into the upper 60s. we could see a few showers and storms move through during this time, though not lasting very long. Northerly winds will help to keep humidity in check again tonight. With that said this weekend looks mainly dry with a lot of sunshine both days and high temperatures reaching the upper 80s both Saturday and Sunday. Heat indices will be in the upper 80s.
Look for some drier and cooler air to filter in here today. Sunshine will be widespread in the coming days.
Your next best chance of rain will be next Tuesday into Wednesday when the front arrives.
Washington, D.C., has not had a high temperature below 90 degrees Fahrenheit since last Thursday, July 23, and there does not appear to be any relief in sight from the hot weather.
The “feels like” temps will actually be around 95 due to low humidity.
