Hear ‘Hello’, Adele’s new song
We were so excited and surprised when we saw that Adele released a new video and song and it’s handsome!
According to Adele, this album is not about break-ups like her last records; it’s more about make-ups.
Remarkably, it’s really not.
Adele previously said of the new song that it was a “massive breakthrough” for her album “25” and that she always knew it was going to be her first single, as HNGN previously reported.
It’s a conservative move on her part – don’t shock the fans too much with something too edgy or off-centre; give them something they would expect from you based on past hits.
Former X-Factor contestant Luke Friend also tweeted a personal message to Adele, saying: “You did it again my love, Phenomenal” and Fearne Cotton simply called her “the voice of the century”.
Still, it’s a compelling song, mostly because of her stunning vocals. The most devastating moment comes towards the end, when she realises that apologising means more to her than it does to the person she wronged.
“I’m making up with myself, “the artist writes”. Time will tell, but it says a lot that since it premiered earlier today (October 23), the only thing the internet has found to criticise is the fact Adele uses an oh-so-2002 flip-phone in the video.
