He then goes onto say that he and his family will have to “move out” of their house. “And we really have to be careful because we have to change homes”.
When asked by the reporter if he understood what happened on Friday night, the little boy answers that “bad men with guns” attacked French citizens.
He added: “Horrible people, they’re not very nice”.
The video has been shared countless times, and viewed by millions.
“They did it because they’re very, very, very bad”, said the boy, perched stiff with fright on his father’s knee in a video that has now gone viral.
“They have guns, they can shoot us because they’re really really mean daddy.” said the son.
His father gently tells him that they don’t have to move as “France is our home”. “They can shoot us daddy, because they’re really, really mean daddy”.
Reassured, the boy asked: “They’re protecting us?”
“They have guns”, he agreed.
This exchange between a frightened Parisian boy, his father and a reporter may be the most touching reminder you’ll see that only love can conquer hate.
