Heartwarming picture of elderly man helping stranger knot a tie goes viral

In it, an elderly man is seen tying the tie of a younger man dressed in business clothes as they appear to wait for a train.

According to a Facebook post that has now gone viral, an older woman noticed the young man’s predicament, and asked him if he knew how to tie a necktie.

He approached the young man and stood with him while he taught him how to tie the tie properly.

‘She taps her husband and says “Come here and teach this young man how to tie his tie”.

Atlanta resident Redd Desmond Thomas said he was standing nearby and happened to observe the tender moment.

When he replied no, she called out to her husband and asked him to come show the boy the proper way to tie a tie. Then, afterwards, the elder gentleman watched the young gentleman repeat the steps and show him that he had it.

The elderly man moved “without hesitation” to give the younger, well-dressed gentleman a step-by-step tutorial on how to tie his tie.

This seemingly small gesture of kindness that the older couple performed has inspired hope in thousands of people; the original Facebook post now has more than half a million likes and nearly 200,000 shares.

One wrote: “There IS a few good left in the world”.
