The National Basketball Association announced Friday that it has fined Miami Heat guard Gerald Green $25K for making menacing gun gestures in a preseason game. His career averages include 10.2 points per game, 2.5 rebounds and 1 assist. $25,000 may not seem like much, especially for an eight-year veteran player who signed a one-year .36 million deal with the Miami Heat just this summer, but it’s still a waste of money over a small issue.
The fact that the fine came in a game against the Wizards added an ironic twist to the entire scenario.
