Hebron attacker ‘left to bleed to death
A 19-year-old man, who was near the Palestinian town of Bethlehem, had been attacking the local Israeli checkpoint when the ABC was there. The teen was killed less than two hours after Fadil Qawasmi, 18, was shot and killed by an Israeli settler in Hebron after the teen reportedly attempted to stab him.

One victim of the policy encouraging Israelis to shoot first and ask questions later may have been Israa Abed. They were both shot dead at the time of the attack. In fact, he confessed to his role in the terror attack from the Israeli hospital bed where he has been receiving treatment from neurosurgeons.
Abbas has called for peaceful protest, but not explicitly condemned any attacks in the recent wave of unrest until Friday’s statement on the holy site. Protests have spread to Jordan, where demonstrators denounced Israel’s actions in Jerusalem, particularly its restrictions on access to the al-Aqsa mosque.
Israeli security forces have deployed massively in Jerusalem after two weeks of attacks in the city and across Israel.
An additional Palestinian death during daytime clashes in Nablus, where the overnight firebombing underscored the religious sensitivities driving the current outbreak of violence in Israel and the Palestinian territories.
France’s {United Nations| UN} Ambassador Francois Delattre said it’s crucial it’s crucial the two-state solution does not fall apart, given the risk that Islamic State extremists “might one day take up the Palestinian cause, with the consequences we can imagine”.
Kerry also said he “hoped to visit the region at the appropriate moment”.
Many Palestinian assailants have come from east Jerusalem, the sector of the city captured by Israeli in 1967 and sought by the Palestinians as a future capital.
