Hector Bellerin set to miss Tottenham derby through injury
Harry Kane has warned his Tottenham side are aiming to make another statement when they face fierce rivals Arsenal on Sunday.
After missing the squad for the first North London Derby of last season – a 1-1 draw – Kane started the second tie, and scored both goals in a 2-1 win for Spurs.
Spurs are undefeated in the Premier League since the opening day of the season and again highlighted their potential to reach the division’s top four in Monday’s 3-1 defeat of Aston Villa.
“Arsenal have it all to do in Sunday’s derby”.
With this in mind, Copa90 have brilliantly illustrated all the major facts we need to know ahead of this weekend’s latest instalment of the north London derby at the Emirates.
“We’ve got a tough Christmas period so we’ve got to keep our energy high and keep our recovery good and just stay consistent and confident, and keep trying to get as many results as possible”.
Spurs, meanwhile, face Anderlecht in the Europa League this evening, and Redknapp has claimed that their game will not be as intense as Arsenal’s was.
“It is a game that everyone looks forward to”.
With 10 first-team players now unavailable, only Newcastle United (12) have more players on the treatment table.
“He’s a great player and a great lad as well”, said Kane. “He’s very focused, he’s a good lad to have around the dressing room and he’s a bubbly character”.
The match kicked off at 11.30am, and the terraces featured more than a few hung-over casualties of the previous night’s celebrations, Indeed many of them, as was also tradition at the time, were still in party fancy dress.
Kane’s link-up play has come to the fore this season, and his ability to harry defenders has made him pivotal.
“He’s still young, he’s still got a lot to learn, a long way to go”. He’s a young player with a lot of talent and he just wants to play football, and that’s what’s nice to see.
