Here Are the Very Surprising Final Four Words of ‘Gilmore Girls’
Rory is her mother’s daughter and the Gilmore story truly does come full circle as Rory is in the same position that Lorelai was 32 years ago.
Final spoiler warning: Don’t keep reading if you don’t know how the series ends! Logan is engaged to a French socialite named Odette, and, until the very end of the final episode, Rory is in a almost three-year relationship with an unbelievably forgettable man named Paul.
Oh well – if nothing else, Mr Kim is proof positive that even in a small town like Stars Hollow it’s possible to fly under the radar.
For ASP, the story she always meant to tell is over. “And so will you”. Took my breath away and made me cry (after laughing at so many others parts).
OK, see, I’m eating an apple. I need more: more to do, more responsibility, more money. I know I should, but I don’t have a hankering for it.
“The first set I remember seeing was our house”. Kept craving those apples, and this morning, boy, was I craving an apple. The most obvious – Who is the father?
There are a few possibilities. The last season wasn’t penned by the original creators Amy and Dan Shermann-Palladino. Even Alexis Bledel, who plays Rory and therefore knows her better than just about anyone, was shocked by the storyline.
“The more you can share about who your character is, the more you feel like you’re connecting with the audience”.
The one person we’re pretty sure it’s not?
In the end, Rory ends up alone, though her final words to her mother – “I’m pregnant” – should indicate this story is still far from over.
Meanwhile, Rory runs into Dean (Jared Padalecki) and Jess (Milo Ventigmilia) as well, both on more apparently friendly terms. “If it’s one thing I’d get in line for, it’s the ‘Gilmore Girls'”. It was a very intense connection, and at the time, not only was Rory an unusual character, but there were not that many single parents on TV. “I just think she’ll be fantastic”. While Kelly Bishop, Lauren Graham, and Alexis Bledel have yet to nab post-revival gigs, the big three won’t remain unemployed for long after Hollywood sees what powerhouses they are yet again. What kind of a mom do you think Rory would be?
“The ending. No. this can not be the ending”, said one distraught fan on Twitter. “I thought it was a nice way to honor him”.
As you’ve probably heard by now, Gilmore Girls returned to Netflix after nearly a decade away from our screens and it’s safe to say that fans are pretty much freaking out.
