Here is what’s in Rise of the Tomb Raider’s season pass
Microsoft is pulling no punches ahead of the release of Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is getting a Season Pass, a listing on the Xbox Store has confirmed, and there may be a few microtransactions on the way, too.
It is hard to say from such a short time just how great Rise of the Tomb Raider will be, especially considering it will be a highly story-driven experience, but from what alive played I can say that it is a game that should probably be on your radars.
The Season Pass will add “three major releases”, with Endurance Mode, a new tomb housing an ancient terror in Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, and waves of predators to tackle in Cold Darkness Awakened. And with a constant stream of suits, weapons and cards shipping, from the first day and for four months, you can customize and enhance the character and challenge friends on new adventures.
Expedition Cards, meanwhile, appear to be gameplay-modifiers that could be a form of microtransaction. VideoGamer.com has contacted Microsoft for more information.
The five different card packs include the Wild Pack, Challenge Pack, Silver Pack, Gold Pack, and Advantage Pack.
When you purchase a set of Expedition Cards, you will be given a random set of cards, which according to which tier you bought, will contain certain rare cards. Who knows what creative, crazy, or even Rare Cards are within?
Lara Croft returns for Rise of the Tomb Raider when Crystal Dynamics debuts across Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 10.
