Here’s An wonderful ‘Game Of Thrones’ Audition Tape Reel
On Friday afternoon, Liam will join fellow cast members including Gwendoline Christine, Carice van Houten, Sophie Turner, John Bradley, Maisie Williams and more on a panel session moderated by late night host Seth Meyers.
It’s been a bit of a tough season for the Game of Thrones writing team. The group discussed everything from the deadly finale to George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” series. He went on to ask why she had said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that she “secretly loved” the scene in which her character was violated.
“If there’s one thing that Sansa still is, despite what happened to her, is strong”, Turner replied, drawing cheers.
Executive producer Carolyn Strauss addressed criticism that the show puts its female characters through torturous scenes, saying it was fitting for the time period of the show.
Sophie Turner (Sansa) said that her character’s gone through a lot of awful things, but she’s still a strong person in spite of it. Her past experiences have given her scheming skills and inner strength, but Sansa’s more internal about her plotting than others are.
Strausss said that actors receive entire scripts, not just their characters’ portions, but she joked that they don’t always read the entire scripts anyway. There are plenty more questions as well, and we won’t be any closer to getting answers until Game of Thrones season 6 premieres next year.
Want to know if Jon Snow is really dead on Game of Thrones?
Comic-Con usually brings about surprise announcements or teases new information about our favorite television shows and movies.
Director David Nutter revealed that the President is also desperate to find out anything he can about the possibly (probably?) deceased Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. She thinks it would be nice to live in Westeros if Samwell Tarly was king. She did say that considering we left Margaery in a cell at the end of season five, “Grandma ain’t around to look after her anymore… she’s in trouble”. His response: “Mr. President, Jon Snow is deader than dead”. “I don’t have an effing clue what’s going to happen to Margaery”. They were more content to talk about literally anything else, like Sam and Gilly’s sex life and Maisie Williams now having to wear contacts.
Van Houten said that she’s never received so much hate from fans in her career until she played Melisandre.
While Alfie Allen said that he had wanted Theon to get even darker this season, we’re pretty sure that’s not actually possible. “I thought I was going to be sent to Guantanamo or something, but fortunately I’m here – but he’s dead”.
