Here’s how Dark Souls 3 has evolved thanks to Bloodborne
From the looks of things, players are much more agile than they’ve ever been, capable of pulling off attacks and backsteps with a speed more reminiscent of the PlayStation 4 exclusive. Detailing their findings in their latest issues, they revealed the Bloodborne influences that have seeped into DS III.
The differences though that were noted between Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3, as stated in Polygon include, more combat movements in Dark Souls 3 compared to Bloodborne’s features.
The weapons have also been tweaked to allow for increased fluidity.
The magazine says the short bow will be getting a number of improvements as well, noting that From Software seems to be putting an emphasis on the potential range of various weapons, opening up even more combat possibilities for players outside of blocking with a shield and counterattacking.
Also part of the combat system in “Dark Souls 3” is the Ready Stance pose which forms the basis on which several different attacks can be built.
The “Ready Stance” is used to set up powerful new moves unique to the type of weapon the player has equipped.
That “Bloodborne” has turned out to be a great success among fans and gaming pundits alike, is no secret, and it is clear that From Software is looking to bring the best elements of the recently released game into “Dark Souls 3″. Longswords, for example, unleash a guard-breaking swipe, while greatswords gain the ability to launch an upward slash that sends enemies into the air. The game is a sequel for “Dark Souls II”, which was released in December 2012.
