Here’s Mariah Carey’s Game of War ad
Mariah Carey running from dragons is as much of a spectacle as Mariah Carey running through scales, it turns out. Then you’re in luck.
Mariah Carey is the new face of “Game of War” advertisement as her first commercial as a warrior queen came out online on Monday. Recently it was beardy bruiser Conor McGregor, and more famously it was Kate Upton who encouraged players to be her hero, in a series of cringe-worthy but exceedingly well-produced ads. Upton has done several commercials for the “Game of War” franchise, even appearing on a spot for Superbowl.
Rather than the dire seriousness and bad voiceover of Upton’s shot at the Game of War reins, Mariah Carey’s commercial relies a lot more on humor and creativity than any admittedly compelling display of decolletage.
She’s dominated the music charts, TV ratings (American Idol) and now she’s setting her eyes on the video game industry.
And if you’re wondering how a gaming app could possibly afford an iconic like Mariah Carey, just know that, according to GameSpot, Game of War was generating an estimated $1 million in daily revenue as of April 2015.
