Here’s Sam Smith’s James Bond Theme Song
Weeks after Sam Smith proudly announced that he would be singing the theme song of the newest James Bond flick, Spectre, it has finally been released.
Djalili, who had a minor role in Bond film the World is Not Enough, added: “If you’re not moved by this song you don’t have a pulse”.
“Sam had a say in a few of the lyrics I was writing and made sure Bond didn’t sound weak, that he still sounded powerful”, he said. How do I breath?
“Thank you for all your fantastic messages”, he tweeted just after “Writing’s” release.
Smith told Radio 1 presenter Nick Grimshaw: “I’m so relieved to actually talk about this, this has been top secret mission of my own”. For you, I have to risk it all.
Written for Spectre, “Writing’s On the Wall” is a theatrical track featuring haunting strings and quiet vocals from the British crooner.

While Petridis gives Smith credit for being, “a male singer using a Bond theme to convey vulnerability”, he doesn’t think the song is very noteworthy or memorable.
Smith said of the song: “This is one of the highlights of my career”.
“The song is] a monster Bond ballad…paced more like an old Hitchcock film than the helter-skelter adrenaline rush of James Bond movies“.
Smith initially denied he was the voice behind the new 007 song, but later confirmed on Instagram he was honored to join the iconic British legacy.

And just like his female counterpart, who reportedly wrote “Skyfall” in 10 minutes, Smith and co-writer Jimmy Napes penned his theme in record time.
