Here’s The Redesigned MTV VMAs Moonman By Jeremy Scott

Gone are the days of the silver moonman…at least, for now.

Time Warner Cable will also be holding a ticket giveaway exclusively for its residential customers in the Southern California region on Monday, August 24 to win tickets to the concert.

The network has teamed up with fashion designer Jeremy Scott of Moschino to re-design the statuette for this year’s Video Music Awards which will be held on Sunday, August 30.

The new Scott-designed Moonman features distinct colors of the TV bars, a peace sign necklace and the designer’s signature sneaker.

Madonna and Perry sported Scott’s designs for the brand on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Met Gala back in May.

MTV gives its Moonman a colorful makeover. In 2013, the artist KAWS did the one-off honors, replacing the astronaut helmet with a cartoonish skull-and-crossbones head. The MTV reality star turned fashion designer/lifestyle guru will debut a limited edition capsule collection of her Kohl’s line inspired by the “mystery and enchantment of the forest”. Expect plenty of very cool multicolor Moonmen to be handed out.
