Here’s Why ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ Was Pulled Off Air

How tough was it to actually let go of Kapil’s show, given that it was one of your top shows?

Meanwhile, Colors head honcho Raj Nayak recently asserted that Kapil breached the contract by hosting events in different channels and his actions forced them to put a full stop on the show.

What about Kapil’s allegations about the channel giving “Comedy Nights Bachao” more prominence and even diverting celebrities to the show? With Kapil already having an upper hand over Krushna Abhishek, it will be worth seeing who wins the battle. He won six seasons of Comedy Circus and Comedy Circus made Kapil. “And instead of working with our creative team and finding ways to reinvent and make the show ratings better, they kept living in denial and started casting aspersions on the channel”. We can only hope that we do not get to see formula based comedy shows mushrooming in random channels.

That was unacceptable to us. I was most disappointed and sad when Comedy Nights with Kapil went off-air as I loved the show.
