‘Heroes Reborn’ Stars (Sorta Kinda) Tease Their Superpowers
Epic adventures await these newly empowered allies as they cross paths with some of the original characters, unlocking the mysterious fate of the universe and their place within it. Heroes Reborn airs September 24, 2015.
Set five years after the public became aware of the existence of evolved humans – or “EVOs” – the series will find those with powers under attack. And if we do ask one of your questions, you’ll be automatically entered to win a Comic-Con 2015 prize pack from FanBolt!
It’s since gone online, but the extended trailer brought some great action footage, and notable reveals.
Then Grunberg excitedly brought the rest of the cast on stage as ACDC’s “Back In Black” blared over the speakers. Zachary Levi, for example, is taking on a much different role than people remember him for in “Chuck”.
Ex- Once Upon a Time guest star Robbie Kay shared his excitement over playing the exact opposite of his character on the ABC drama. When asked what it was like to return to the Heroes franchise, the actor said, “The first time I put [the glasses] back on was for that Super Bowl spot”, and at first, he said, it felt like he was dressing up as HRG for Halloween, like an “imposter”. That actor was none other than fan favorite Masi Oka (as indicated by the massive audience applause when he appeared on screen), who looked as though he was trying to teleport at the end of the message. The first was Jimmy Jean-Louis, who played The Haitian on Heroes.
But that’s not all! The thirteen-episode series will act as a semi-sequel to the original four season run. Don’t worry, hardcore fans – while the new series does go beyond what the original show did, they’re also not going to retcon away of the continuity they’ve already established. “We left with Claire Bennett exposing these powers to the world, her coming out, so now everyone knows about these powers”, Kring said. “We’re ready to save the world again”.
