Highway patrol man in trouble for Christine Michael photo
A Highway Patrol trooper pulled over Dallas Cowboys running back Christine Michael on the President George Bush Turnpike Sunday afternoon to take a photo with him.
According to the Associated Press, Michael’s Bentley was stopped on a Dallas-area highway because it appeared to violate window-tint laws (and we won’t even get into all the pretext and profiling that goes with that).
“The trooper’s actions have been reviewed by DPS and are not consistent with department procedure”, Sergeant Lonny Haschel said in a statement.
Lister, in later conversations with “his chain of command”, realized his error in judgment and was apologetic for the incident, Haschel said. He was not issued a ticket, but the trooper asked him to get out of his vehicle to take a photo.
DPS did not elaborate.
Michael later Sunday played in the 30-6 loss to New England. Michael touched the ball once on a six-yard carry. Rather than this being another Cowboys player getting into trouble, Michael reported that he was pulled over so a cop could take a photo with the running back.
The state trooper in this picture could be in hot water.
