Hillary Clinton: Bernie Sanders not a Democrat before White House run
The Clinton campaign has begun to downplay expectations after a virtual tie in Iowa and a double-digit loss in New Hampshire, saying they always expected a long, drawn-out primary.
Labor unions are going to help push Hillary Clinton to the nomination-at least that’s the prediction of the nation’s top labor regulator.
While many Penn students are getting ready for Thursday bar specials or BYOs, Penn for Hillary is busying making friendly calls to the people of Nevada asking for them to support Clinton in the caucus this Saturday, Feb. 20.
A number of Nevada Democratic insiders said the nature and relative newness of the state’s presidential caucuses were a boon to Clinton.
“What I don’t think they spend enough time doing is pushing back on the story line that what we did to get to this point was a failure or a mistake”, he said. “Not only what you say, but what you’ve done”.
“We know Senator Sanders believes the President has shown failed leadership, but like Hillary Clinton, most Democrats have a different view”.
“No one asked me if I was a citizen or not, and my dad came from Poland”, Sanders said, referring to the so-called “birther” movement that has questioned Obama’s legitimacy as president.
The South Carolina Democratic primary takes place Saturday, February 27. “I think that’s what it’s still coming down to is the coattails”. Still, that represented a 14-point swing from when the same poll was conducted last month, before Sanders’ double-digit New Hampshire primary win. He doesn’t know what the last two Democratic presidents did”, she remarked, as the audience responded by booing her. “Well, it’s true.
“Suddenly they’re finding with people being actually involved, and not just the establishment, that they’re in trouble and they’re saying a lot of things which are just incorrect”, he said. Clinton is leading with African Americans by 12 points. Just 30 percent of all voters consider Clinton honest. Barack Obama – are increasingly drifting toward Sanders. These are the party bosses who can vote however they want at the Democratic nominating convention.
The more Democrats learn about Bernie Sanders, the more they appear to like him.
The Clinton and Sanders campaigns did not comment for the Beast report.
Younger voters are a key Sanders constituency. Voters pointed out that Clinton in 2007 opposed giving drivers’ licenses to undocumented immigrants, and that Sanders voted against the 2007 immigration reform bill because it contained a guest worker program he was against.
A Sanders spokesman says: “The man in the video looks like him but we’re not 100 percent sure and we’re working to try to verify it”. The margin of sampling error for all respondents is plus or minus 3.4 percentage points, and is plus or minus 5.5 percentage points for Democratic voters.
Sanders suggested Clinton had an ulterior motive in her embrace of Obama, notably in several Democratic debates.
Clinton, who recently gave a speech on race in Harlem, wove issues she addressed in the speech into her answer when she was asked about home ownership for Hispanics and was told by the audience member of the hoops he had to jump through to get a home.
