Hillary Clinton Crushes Bernie Sanders in SC
With 99 percent of precincts reporting, Clinton was beating Sanders in SC by a resounding 73-26 percent.
But Birgitta Johnson, an assistant professor at the University of SC, said she believes Clinton will “say anything to get votes, ” while Sanders “deals with structural issues rather than talking points” on education and other issues important to her.
Sanders, expecting defeat in SC, left the state even before voting was finished and turned his attention to some of the states that vote in next Tuesday’s delegate-rich contests.

Clinton is stopping in Alabama on Saturday before heading to Columbia, the SC capital, for an election party.
In the opening moments, a line he often repeats took on a far more serious meaning: “What this campaign is about – is not just electing a president, it’s about transforming America…”
Clinton picked up most of South Carolina’s 53 delegates, winning 39 to Sanders’ 14. Although Sanders said before the primary that he had not given up on SC, he was never close to challenging Clinton in the state – which voters noticed, the L.A. Times reported. “We are not taking anything and we aren’t taking anything for granted”. Each number represents the percentage polls show the candidate is expected to win each state. He was set to hold a rally in Minnesota, one of the states that caucuses next Tuesday.
Their tightest battles, aides said, will be in MA and Colorado.
Last week, a reporter asked the Vermont Senator to predict the margin of his victory on Super Tuesday.
“I think Hillary Clinton will run the table Tuesday, Bernie Sanders may win a few states here or there, smaller states”.
