Hillary Clinton Is A Deadpan Delight on ‘Between Two Ferns’
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton follows in the footsteps of President Obama by appearing on the comedy web series “Between Two Ferns” with Zach Galifianakis. Galifianakis, meanwhile, fired off questions that managed to deprecate both Clinton and her opponent Donald Trump, and a lot of them served no goal other than injecting some (much needed) comedy into the election.
The show, for the uninitiated, features Zach G interviewing his subject while sitting between two ferns, and subjecting them to all sorts of rude, forward questions. “How does this work?” and asking if she’s excited to become the first “girl president” as well as the “first white president” for younger generations. “I, I – you need to get out more”. “Would we be stuck with Tim Kaine for nine months?”
Galifianakis also asked what would happen if Clinton becomes pregnant while in office, whether or not she’s “down with TPP” (referring to the Trans-Pacific Partnership) and what she thinks of her rival in the upcoming election.
‘I assume he’ll wear that red power tie, ‘ she said. “I think that might be a little bit extreme”. Clinton just keeps shattering those ceilings.
Galifianakis asked. He also suggested that Clinton will be the one to lead the civil war if Trump takes office.
‘I would try to prevent him from destroying the United States, ‘ she said of Trump. But she still got to comment on the issues at hand, like Scott Baio’s vote, which she isn’t sad about losing, probably because she’s ready for a woman to be in Charge – hey-oh! “Why would you play a commercial for my opponent in the middle of our interview?”
Trigger warning! The comments section under the YouTube video is even more depressing than the comments sections under all the other YouTube videos, which are proof that humanity is a doomed species.
“He paid me in steaks”, the host replied, referring to the bloviating businessman’s now-defunct meat shilling. “We should stay in touch”.
