Hillary Clinton Returns To The Campaign Trail After Illness
Hillary Clinton began experiencing symptoms of what was later diagnosed as a “mild, non-contagious bacterial pneumonia” nine days before the illness forced her to leave a 9/11 memorial ceremony, her doctor wrote in a letter released by her campaign on Wednesday.
The letter from Lisa Bardack came as Clinton recovers from pneumonia. She is expected to return to the campaign trail on Thursday.
Clinton was forced to leave ceremonies marking the annivary of the September 11 attacks in NY on Sunday because of a dizzy spell.
Clinton’s blood pressure was 100/70, her heart rate was 70 and her cholesterol was 189 at a recent physical, Bardack said. She was put on a short course of antibiotics, and advised to rest and continue taking her medication for seasonal allergies. Bardack has evaluated Clinton several times since Sunday.
Apart from the pneumonia thing, we now know Clinton had an ear infection earlier this year, and Kaine’s doctor wants him to get more vitamin D.
“Why isn’t President Obama working instead of campaigning for Hillary Clinton?”.
The statement added that Ms Clinton had suffered no long-term ill effects from a concussion sustained in 2012 while serving as Secretary of State – an incident that has since fuelled conspiracy theories about the presidential hopeful’s overall health.
“She is recovering well with antibiotics and rest”. Her campaign later revealed she was fighting pneumonia.
“She has had recurrent blood testing for Coumadin dosing and adjustments”, the physician wrote.
Trump surprised people on Wednesday when he discussed some medical information on “The Dr. Oz Show,” including the results of a recent physical exam.
A release from the show said “Dr. Oz took Mr. Trump though a full review of his systems”, including his nervous system, cardiovascular health, prostate health and family medical history. A video showing her almost collapsing during the event soon went viral and led to her team admitting she had been diagnosed with pneumonia a couple days earlier.
On the other hand, the only information made public so far regarding Trump’s medical condition has been a four-paragraph note by his doctor, Harold Bornstein, who said he would be “the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency”. The show airs on Thursday.
