Hillary Clinton Tends Bar, Impersonates Trump in ‘SNL’ Cameo
In 2008, she appeared alongside Amy Poehler, who played her on the show then.
Following the commercial, Hillary introduced Miley Cyrus. And there are many.
“Oh my God. They’re multiplying!” he exclaimed. But it was Tina Fey, playing Palin on SNL, who said “I can see Russian Federation from my house”.
On Sunday’s Today show, Kristen Welker flat-out declared this a success: “For her part, Hillary Clinton has been rebounding from the e-mail situation”.
Clinton played Val, a bartender in a sketch that touches on several controversial issues including the Keystone XL pipeline, same sex-marriage and frontrunner for the Republican nomination Donald Trump.
From that point the production jabbed tender fun at Clinton’s moderate restriction to the pipeline, her late-arriving backing of gay marriage, and her powerlessness to take an excursion. Everyone has a Trump impersonation. A cameo later in the show by Darrell Hammond offered a reminder that SNL has done good Trump work in the past when it mattered significantly less.
Another lacking sketch featured Pope Francis, played by Mooney, appearing on Weekend Update. Even though he’s Argentinian.
She opened the show by joking about her wild child reputation by saying, “At least my parents know where I am for at least 90 minutes”. There were also a few sketches that failed to hit the mark. That’s because I like to blame all of society’s ills on generations that I don’t belong to.
‘I’ve had a hard couple of 22 years’.
Now that even Mick Jagger has gotten on board, Vanessa Bayer and Aidy Bryant are two of the last remaining people who haven’t been subjected to Taylor Swift’s notorious friend-collecting. We should definitely have her sing. Wait, can she sing? Has anyone seen Cara Delevingne lately?
As soon as the sketch was over, strong performance in-hand, Clinton had to return to the grim drudgery of the normal campaign trail, feigning enthusiasm for awful things because it is demanded of her. But, she had a job to do and she did it. She walked out on stage and delivered her line. This might have worked better if not for the weird, unnecessary narration from Sasheer Zamata, and for the weird, awful British accent from Miley Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz. And Miley apparently howled and/or cried during the “dead petz” song.
