Hillary Duff: ‘Torturous being known as Lizzie McGuire’
Aside from the rejections from people that clearly don’t take this app seriously enough, Hilary did in fact go on an actual Tinder date and was filmed for her new music video Sparks having a good old swipe with her mates. “I strive for normalcy in my life every day”.
She said during an appearance on the Johnjay & Rich Show: “I don’t know if it’s going to happen on Tinder”.
However, it looks like her journey into the world of dating apps hasn’t gone as well as the gorgeous blonde would have hoped. “I don’t know if that’s just me because I’m a little more cautious, I guess”.
Her dilemma considered, she shared she admires one particular pop star who’s able to let loose while still in the spotlight.
Taking care of her to-do list, Hilary Duff ran errands around the Los Angeles area on Thursday afternoon (July 2). “As torturous as it has been at some points in my life to be Lizzie McGuire, I think that when that show came out, it was such a part of who I was, I didn’t feel like I was playing a part”, she said. “She’s so wholeheartedly being herself and is unapologetic about that and she’s doing a great job”. But how does she think her character would have evolved?
Despite joining the site, the mother-of-one previously admitted she was sceptical about whether she would actually find true love on Tinder.
She added. ‘It was just a slow set-in of us not being the match that we used to be. So I integrated that into my video [for Sparks] and showed a side of me that’s really real, really normal.
