Hillary On Republicans: ‘They Don’t Want To Run Against Me’
He made the comments in response to a question about an exchange on capitalism between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. At the time, though, Clinton – who now says she opposes the deal – said it “sets” the gold standard. And neither Hillary, nor a single member of her advisory team, nor a single one of her supporters, could ever explain what the “excesses” of capitalism are.
Flanked on both sides by men significantly taller than her, Clinton could have come off as the girl trying too hard to play in the boys’ club, but instead, she looked much like a commander-in-chief surrounded by thoughtful advisors.
We all know Hillary Clinton is a hawk. Was Bernie Sanders able to demonstrate his viability as a general election candidate?
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on the Fox News Channel Wednesday evening that he thinks it is “very likely” the Democratic Party dictated a few of the terms of the debate to CNN.
Sanders has built an insurgent campaign that draws huge crowds – almost always bigger than Clinton’s – and boasts far more individual donors than the former secretary of state.
U.S. News & World Report, however, cast the former secretary of state as a victor in the prime time event, saying “the rest of the field struggled to cast themselves as her chief foil”.
Onstage, Sanders conceded that it might not have been “good politics” to shut down debate on Clinton’s State Department emails, but his gambit seems to have paid off, literally.
Cuomo also told “The Brian Lehrer Show” that Sanders doesn’t get a pass on his vote against the measure pushed by then-President Bill Clinton because Sanders has said he stands on principle, not political positions to get elected.
But when we were debating they were asking well, Mr. Trump, well, but there was much different kind of a debate. In the four most recent previous statewide polls, averaged by RealClearPolitics, the Vermont senator had led Clinton, 39% to 30%. She called for the whole country to stand up to the NRA and said we haven’t done enough about – and Sanders isn’t tough enough on – gun violence. Sanders said he supports expanded background checks for gun owners and noted that he’s had a D-minus rating from the National Rifle Association.
The biggest possible upset for democratic candidates remains the possibility of Vice President Joe Biden jumping into the race.
