Hillary Takes Millions in Campaign Cash From ‘Enemies’

Hillary Clinton, the frontrunner, defended the decision of the Obama administration, while she was secretary of state, to launch a military campaign in Libya, calling it a humanitarian intervention done at the behest of European and Arab power and an example of “smart power at its best”.

When Clinton participated in 2007 and 2008’s Democratic Party’s presidential primary debates, she was the only candidate who participated in all 27 but lost to now-president Barack Obama. Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist, has parlayed his popularity with liberals in to a considerable marketing crusade war chest, raising greater than $26 million throughout the quarter.

“I have nothing against women in politics, but it’s not healthy for the party if we get behind a woman because she’s a woman, and risk having her implode after she’s nominated because she isn’t tested enough now”. Still, it was an at times awkward and muted embrace, undergirded by the campaign’s conviction that, although the country was ready to elect a woman, voters also needed to be convinced of her toughness.

Then, Clinton was more skittish about playing up her gender.

Clinton’s main rival for the nomination, Bernie Sanders, was in Atlanta last month, also generating much excitement. “She’s not a cause for women – yet…” Bizpac Review reported CNN’s Anderson Cooper said “I’m always uncomfortable with that notion of setting people up in order to kind of promote a few sort of a face off”, which Bizpac Reivew noted was “contradicting the entire format of the Republican debate CNN hosted”.

Expect to hear more Clinton as sorority sister – a pitch aimed not only to women but to the fathers of those daughters.
