HIM TOO? NBC’S Tom Brokaw Accused of Sexual Harassment

NBC won’t be launching a full internal investigation into new sex harassment allegations against former news anchor Tom Brokaw, network sources told Page Six on Friday.

Additionally, former “Today” co-host Ann Curry tells The Washington Post that a female staffer came to her in 2012 with claims that she had been “sexually harassed physically” by Lauer. “Linda is literally seeking nothing for herself”, Vester’s attorney said.

Matt Lauer was sacked from his role on the “Today” show.

Vester said she did not report Brokaw’s alleged behavior because she feared it would end her career.

“Vester, the Washington Post and Variety can not diminish that”, he wrote. In the intervening years since we met on those two occasions, she had no reason to worry I could affect her career.

LINDA VESTER: It was no way ever consensual.

“My client stands by the allegations which speak for themselves”, Ari Wilkenfeld, Vester’s lawyer, said in a statement to Business Insider. Brokaw was also hosting his “Nightly News” from the same city at the time. I never heard from her or saw her again.

“He grabbed me behind my neck and tried to force me to kiss him”.

CHANG: How has Brokaw responded to all of this?

Following these allegations, Brokaw has denied there being any cases of misconduct. “She comes forward at her own expense and at her own peril”.

One of those advances, she claims, was a forcible kiss. What does NBC have to say about that?

In the statement released by The Washington Post, Lauer revealed he chose to break his silence in order to defend his family from the lies that have been spread about the reason behind his termination from NBC.

An NBC spokesman told the newspaper that there was no record of the report and no mention of it was in Lauer’s personnel file. They don’t know of any such complaint by Curry or anyone else, they say.

The allegations against Brokaw are another blow to the image of NBC News, which has yet to comment on the matter.

Vester left NBC in 1999 to anchor a program for Fox News.

She also wondered if people conducting the investigation haven’t been distracted by other duties since it has been five months since Lauer was sacked. They have instituted new procedures.
