Hitman Beta Begins this February on PS4 and PC
Square Enix has announced a beta for Hitman that will take place 20 years in the past, when Agent 47 first joined the ICA. It’ll also reveal the first time 47 meets his handler Diana Burnwood.
In addition to the PS4 beta rollout, early access will also be given via PC pre-orders. Hitman will be available as beta starting February 19 for PC gamers.
PlayStation 4 players will receive six exclusive contracts known collectively as “The Sarajevo Six”.
Developers of the game have called it a “moment of huge interest to fans”, as well as a good jumping-off point for newcomers to the series. The contracts are expected to be released sometime in March next year.
Square Enix used Sony’s PlayStation Experience this weekend to confirm details of Hitman’s upcoming beta. With the new beta coming in February, it seems like a good sign that further delays won’t be a problem.
When “Hitman” releases in full on March 11, it will roll out with a three-location set of missions that will see Agent 47 hunt down war criminals who were former members of a paramilitary unit labeled as CICADA.
