Holly Holm rewarded with new UFC multi-year contract

Holm spoke with Ariel Helwani on Monday’s edition of “The MMA Hour” at MMAFighting.com and claimed that she doesn’t even know if Rousey wants an immediate rematch, or if she will be making her first title defense against a different UFC Women’s Bantamweight contender. “We have officially signed a multiyear extension with the UFC”, said Fresquez.

Holly Holm’s knockout of Ronda Rousey is considered one of the biggest moments in 2015 for mixed martial arts and now she’s been rewarded with a new contract with the UFC. So going to see “Star Wars” with her friends might have been the ideal way to ignore her next fight rumors.

“Occasionally I wonder how people could say such terrible things about someone they don’t even know, someone they’ve never met. I attribute it to the fact that their mothers probably didn’t love them enough, and then I briefly curse out the part of the Internet that allows people to hide behind anonymity as they let out the worst parts of themselves”.

However, Holm and her agent Lenny Fresquez have said all along that it was Holm’s preference not to wait that long.

White originally aimed to have Holm-Rousey II at UFC 200 in July but nothing has been finalised yet, which means there is a chance the “Preacher’s Daughter” could take on a different opponent early this year. “I’m pretty sure it will be soon”.
