In addition to the above information, Deep Silver has also released a new trailer for the game, titled This is Philadelphia. The video highlights the game’s Yellow Zones, which are described as densely populated areas “where civilians live in constant fear”.
The year is 2029, four years have passed since the events of Homefront. A mix of Orwellian police state and ghetto slum, the People are kept under the heel of oppression through permanent surveillance, 24-hour propaganda, and an ever-constant military presence.
Homefront the revolution is coming in May 2016.
Crytek then had its own financial issues, which resulted in it selling the Homefront rights to Deep Silver and its parent company, Koch Media. In the end, publisher Deep Silver took the team and formed Dambuster Studios to finish up the project.
