Homeowner: Thief Steals Dog Poop Wrapped In Box As Bait By Homeowner

Yet another package stolen from a porch right here in Las Vegas.

Eric Bardo left a package filled with dog poop on his doorstep after he was “fed up” with reports of local package thefts.

Bardo captured the thieves on film in footage that can be viewed here.

He says he didn’t call the police, but hopes the boys will learn a lesson.

The man put the box out on Sunday of last week, and the thieves came around last Thursday.

Bardo said: ‘I was kind of excited and I just kept replaying it.

The homeowner said he felt gratified rather than angry when the thief took the “present” he prepared.

“One day I kind of just thought about cleaning up the poop and putting it in a box and that’s what I did”, Bardo told KTNV.

This isn’t the first time someone has had the idea of using surprise poop to foil a thief and it probably won’t be the last.

Andrea Hutzler of Washington, D.C., carried out a similar revenge plot previous year.

“It’s often said, ‘What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, ‘ but something tells me this prank might become popular nationwide”, he added. You can also write special directions, such as requesting that your box(es) be left with a trusted neighbor if you aren’t home.
