The airman returned home September 3 through Travis Air Force Base to the cheers of more than 300 friends, family and military personnel and their families. Skarlatos returned last week to Roseburg, Oregon where he was living after a gunman opened fire on Skarlatos’ college, Umpqua Community College, killing nine before before the shooter turned the gun on himself.
