Homicide Victims Found In Castro Valley Mobile Home; Suspect Detained
Typically quiet Castro Valley, in the East Bay, saw a double homicide Monday afternoon. “I think the deputies were certainly surprised they found another person inside there, what that person was doing and what their status was at that time I don’t know”, Alameda County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson J.D. Nelson said.
“When deputies got here, they found a man and a woman that had been murdered in one of the trailer homes here”.
The man, who was described only as in his mid-30s, was detained and taken in for questioning, Nelson said, though he had not been arrested as of 4 p.m.

Nelson would not disclose how the victims died or what may have been a motive for the killings. Officials describe the detained suspect only as a man in his 30s.
“We’ve heard that he might be a son or stepson of the victims, but we’re investigating all of that”, Nelson said.
“According to the preliminary investigation, it appears that they were killed by a relative”, Kelly said.
Neighbors said the couple had lived in the mobile home park for about 10 years. “Everyone keeps to themselves, so it’s a big deal going on right now”.
