Honda Project 2&4 teased ahead of Frankfurt debut
More details will be made known at Frankfurt, but all we know for now is that we want one (particularly for that 1960s Formula 1 paint job). Sounds like the Project 2&4 will be potent enough to take on the likes of Caterham’s 620R and the Ariel Atom (which, incidentally, is powered by Honda – albeit a auto engine).
Honda says that the Project 2&4 was the winning design in a competition run between all of Honda’s design studios.
The project is a collaboration between Honda’s Asaka motorcycle design centre, and the company’s Wako automobile design centre.
The concept won’t be the only new entry from Honda at the 2015 Frankfurt motor show as Honda looks to re-energise its model range across the board.
The Project 2&4 reportedly “represents the company’s drive to inspire and reward creative thinking” and embodies the spirit of “creative craftsmanship”. Both the models are expected to be launched in Europe first by September. Honda would be a very welcome addition to this market.
There there are the 2015 Honda Civic and Civic Tourer, which feature new sporty exterior and interior styling enhancements, reflected by a new Civic Sport, as well as introducing Honda Connect, an advanced Android-based infotainment system offering WiFi, Bluetooth, USB, HDMI and Mirror Link connectivity. Certainly better to look to the past than McLaren-Honda’s season at present… The Civic Type R powered by an all-new 2.0 litter VTEC turbo engine which is good for 310 PS at 6,500 rpm and can power to a top speed of 270 km/h.
