Hornets bring in Britos
It was reported on Friday that the 24-year-old was on the verge of a deal worth €10m plus Miguel Angel Britos, but there was no sign of the player arriving.
Britos, who was formerly of Napoli, has signed on a three year deal with the Hornets and the 30-year old adds a lot of experience to the Watford backline.
Britos, a Uruguayan worldwide, joined Napoli from Bologna four years ago.
With the Naples side, Britos featured for them over 100 times.
He helped them finish second in Serie A during 2012/2013, and also won the Coppa Italia twice.
The arrivals of Jurado and Britos mean Watford have now signed nine players this summer after Sebastian Prodl, Giedrius Arlauskis, Matej Vydra, Jose Holebas, Etienne Capoue, Valon Behrami and Allan Nyom penned permanent deals at Vicarage Road.
Liverpool have announced the signing of striker Christian Benteke on a five-year contract.
Speaking to the Watford website, Abdi said on his extension: “It wasn’t a hard decision for me to sign a new contract”.
