Host Steve Harvey announces wrong Miss Universe victor

Finally popular TV host Steve Harvey (the Family Feud guy) announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the victor, but her moment of glory was short-lived as it turned out Steve read out the results wrong.

Miss Universe 2014 passes the crown to the Philippines’ Pia Wurtzbach after host Steve Harvey corrects his initial announcement that Colombia’s Ariada Gutierrez was the victor.

She then had to hand over her crown to the actual victor, Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach.

The organization that includes the Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants, formerly owned by NBCUniversal and Donald Trump, is now owned by entertainment company WME-IMG.

“Listen, folks. Let me just take control of this”, Harvey went on to tell the bewildered audience.

Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach was crowned the Miss Universe 2015 in one of the most shocking ends to the Miss Universe final. I know how much pride many countries, fans and most importantly, the contestants take in preparing for this night.

Steve Harvey hosted tonight’s 2015 Miss Universe Pageant and accidentally named Miss Colombia as the victor when that was not the case.

“I don’t what to say right now, I’m feeling a bit sick about this”.

Mr. Harvey did not realize his mistake until after Ms. Gutiérrez had begun to soak up the glory of the title. For the first time, viewers will have a chance to vote on the victor, rating each contestant in the swimwear, evening gown and interview competitions.

Earlier, Trump’s remarks about Mexicans in announcing his presidential candidacy in June drew sharp criticism, and the Spanish-language network Univision pulled out of a deal to televise the pageant. “For us, you will continue being miss universe!”. She was seen being comforted by other contestants along with Miss Philippines.
