Hot and humid for Sunday with a chance for storms
Saturday is expected to have a mostly sunny sky with calm winds as high pressure moves into West Michigan. A storm system across Iowa and IL may cause high clouds to push across parts of western Ohio. This heat will also be around as we view the big solar eclipse on Monday so try to pick a viewing location near some shade or an AC. Winds will shift to the south over the next few hours, pushing a more humid air mass back into the region. Lows in the low to mid 70s.
Expect a mix of sun and clouds for the afternoon with temperatures climbing into the mid 90s.
Tuesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers & thunderstorms before 1 am. Can’t completely rule out an isolated shower or two in the evening and overnight.
The rain will begin to exit the area Tuesday morning before skies slowly improve. Highs in the lower 90s. Wednesday will have a few more showers in the area with more scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Lows in the lower 70s. Highs will reach the upper 80s with heat indices in the 90s and hazy sunshine.
Friday Night.Partly cloudy. A chance for showers.
Mostly sunny and warmer. Highs will vary throughout the 80s to near 90.
Some storms could linger into our Monday morning and we’ll have partly to mostly cloudy skies for the eclipse. Farther north and northwest, the cloud cover will most likely be higher due to storms.
